Capacity increase for Roxby Downs

With demand continuing to grow in Roxby Downs, over 100 new rooms have been added to Discovery Parks – Roxby Downs in the past 12-months, and more than 50 new rooms are due to be installed by the end of the financial year.

In July 2019, nearly 70 standard rooms were relocated from Onslow in WA to Roxby. The compact and affordable motel rooms come complete with air-conditioning, TV, and an ensuite.

This was followed by the relocation of 101 rooms and a dining hall from our Darwin park to Roxby in recent months. Currently, 48 of the 101 are operational, with the remaining 53 rooms and new dining hall to be operational by July 2020.

The new accommodation has proven to be a great addition to the region, increasing the options and variety for project crews working on Olympic Dam.
