Discovery Holiday Parks buys award winning Big 4 Emerald Beach Holiday Park

Adelaide based Discovery Holiday Parks are delighted to announce iconic property Big 4 Emerald Beach Holiday Park is joining the Discovery family; just in time for the busy school holiday period.  To be rebranded Discovery Holiday Parks - Emerald Beach, the Park is located just ten minutes north of Coffs Harbour and the Big Banana and almost half way along the popular Sydney to Brisbane coastal drive.

The signature beachfront property has been recently redeveloped and will join Discovery’s expanding portfolio of Australian coastal and aquatic tourism experiences.  Configured with thirty cabins and ninety caravan sites, the Park is a contained haven for families and drive tourists alike.  The recent addition of a splash pad and water play area will only add to the Park’s appeal.

The refurbishments have been made possible after previous owners Kris and Schellea Fowler won a Government grant as part of the Tourism Industry Regional Development Fund.  “The grant helped us to realise our dream of a water play precinct specifically designed for younger children.  It’s a great fit with the Discovery portfolio and will suit their family market perfectly.” Kris said.

CEO of Discovery Holiday Parks, Grant Wilckens, says the group appreciates the hard work done by the Fowlers and believes these new park upgrades will contribute towards long term tourism growth in the Coffs Coast region. “We are excited to have such a well presented park join our collection and know these fantastic facilities will encourage more guests to choose Emerald Beach for their holidays,” Mr Wilckens said. Nestled in native coastal rainforest, Emerald Beach offers wonderful wildlife, beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery.

A destination in its own right, Emerald Beach boasts three restaurants, organic produce shop, yoga studio, gallery and holiday patrolled ocean beaches. The property will be known as Discovery Holiday Parks – Emerald Beach from the 8th of December 2015.
