Leading accommodation services provider, Discovery Holiday Parks (Discovery) is pleased to announce completion of the first stage of its $150 million expansion project for the Onslow accommodation park and mining camp in Western Australia.

With $60m already invested in the development, stage one delivered 96 deluxe studio rooms with occupation starting in August taking the total rooms at the property to approximately 300. The second stage of the project commenced in October with an additional 120 in development. On completion of the final stage the park will offer up to 880 rooms.

The new rooms include modern conveniences such as sound proofing, double beds, enhanced broadband internet access, satellite and free to air digital TV, large work stations, balconies and modern decor.

The expansion project involves a complete site regeneration with new facilities including a 320-seat dining room, significantly enhanced and expanded kitchen, conference rooms, and extensive recreation facilities incorporating a bar and gymnasium.
