On Western Australia’s stunning Coral Coast, some 900km north of Perth, Discovery Parks – Carnarvon (formerly Wintersun Caravan and Tourist Park) is very much at the heart of a tropical oasis that offers everything you need for a great Australian holiday.

Accommodation and Facilities

Blessed with a range of accommodation options to suit all types of travellers, numerous cabins come with their own outdoor seating area, shaded by the park's ample foliage.

Onsite Vans are ideal for budget conscious travellers, some with their own ensuite bathroom, while spacious powered sites are close to all of the park's excellent amenities.

Selected sites and cabins do allow pets, there is an off-leash dog park and on-site facilities include a generous swimming pool, adventure playground, camp kitchen and BBQ areas. A guest laundry is provided for your convenience, as are accessible bathrooms, a games room, Wi-Fi, jumping pillow, bowling green and kiosk.

Near Park Experiences

As one of Western Australia’s food production hubs, there is an abundance of fruit, vegetables and seafood to try close to the park. Morel’s Plantation is a great place to start, barely 500m from our gate.

Popular with beach lovers and kite surfers who come to explore Carnarvon’s unspoiled coast, the town is surrounded by the world-famous Ningaloo Reef Marine Park and Shark Bay World Heritage Area.

Pelican Point on Babbage Island is a great swimming spot and for those with an interest in space exploration, Carnarvon’s iconic OTC Satellite Dish was the subject of the legendary Australian film of the same name, making the nearby Space and Technology Museum a must-do.

The entire Gascoyne River inlet is also worth exploring, with popular relaxation spots like Dwyer’s Leap and Chinaman’s Pool within easy reach.

Important Safety Messages

Electric Scooters (eScooters): Guests may only operate an eScooter in parks where state laws permit the operation of an eScooter in public places, outside of an approved eScooter trial. We advise that you consider state laws before arriving in park.
