Shane & Mim Conquer - Park Managers
We are Park Managers at Discovery and have been with the company for over 8 years. During this time we have managed properties in SA, WA and the NT. We have been encouraged and supported during our journey, starting in a small tourist park and gradually stepping into management roles in larger parks and recently overseeing the development of one of the largest properties Discovery owns.
We enjoy working for a company that encourages and supports us in career advancement, and we love that we are able to request transfers to different parts of Australia.
We considered owning our own property, however, by working for Discovery we were able to enjoy the lifestyle of working together, living onsite and have the added bonus of the support from the dedicated team in the Adelaide Office.
Discovery continues to offer us training in all areas of the business, always challenging us while supporting our ideas. A great company to work for!
Claire Walsh - Park Manager
After starting as an Assistant Manager, I became Park Manager at Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain 7 years ago.
The favourite thing that I get to do as Park Manager is participate in events, meetings and committees at a local level as well as within the Discovery family at a national level. The thought of being part of something bigger is a rewarding perk of the job.
The initial aspect that attracted me to Discovery, was the opportunity to change industries and gain new work skills. For me, it was a little like stepping into the unknown, but then the challenge of change is always a good thing.
Discovery is a dynamic work place which supports further learning. The skills gained have made me a more competent manager with the leadership qualities to manage teams of employees and cater to all guests' needs. I would not be who I am today without journeying with Discovery.
Vicki Matchett - Senior Office Assistant
My job role at Discovery Parks - Darwin is Senior Office Assistant.
I love my job at Discovery because I am able to meet with the guests that have come to Darwin to stay at the park and guide them in the right direction to make their stay an enjoyable and memorable one.
I was attracted to work at Discovery by the professionalism shown at all levels of the business.
Discovery has given me the opportunity to groom and shape myself as a more professional person.

Carol Meggs - Office Supervisor
I work at Discovery Parks - Warrnambool as the Office Supervisor. My role focuses on assisting the Park Managers and providing customer service and assistance to our guests with enquiries regarding accommodation and tourist attractions.
I love interacting with our guests. I'm always learning new tasks which keeps my mind active and allows me to grow as the company grows.
I was offered a position in the office whilst working in the park as Head Housekeeper. It was an opportunity for me to learn the basics of computers and the running of an office. I have since completed my Cert III in Caravan Operations.
Working with Discovery has made me a confident individual who is capable of running the park when the Park Managers are absent.
Discovery has a great team environment where everyone works together to achieve a good outcome. The Head Office staff are helpful if you require any assistance.
I have been at this park for 18 years and have seen the changes and development with Discovery over the last 10 years. I have embraced this change, making me a more confident and competent person, willing to take on any challenges that are put before me.
Robyn Sefton - General Manager - Workforce
I have had the opportunity to work for Discovery for over 8 years. This has been the most amazing career and personal journey of my life. This journey with Discovery started as Park Manager at Biloela for 5 years, from late 2005 through Discovery's acquisition of our property until December 2010.
During this time, my husband Roy and I enjoyed the benefits that came with working for a newly established corporate company, and were embraced as part of a very passionate and personalised company culture. Discovery gave us the opportunity to see our own goals for the park come to fruition.
In my current role as Business Development Manager and Regional Manager for several Workforce parks, I enjoy playing an integral role in the acquisition, establishment, development and operations of our Workforce portfolio.
When reflecting on the past couple of years, and what I enjoy most in my position with Discovery, I have to admire the support and personal belief of our Senior Leaders, who recognise the ability and desire of their employees and allow individuals such as myself to pursue our own ideas and support our business decisions. I love the passion and direction of the company which embodies strong peer support and embraces its employees as truly being part of the Discovery family.
Wayne Chang - Investment Analyst
My role as Investment Analyst is to assess initiatives that may create value for Discovery. Currently, the majority of my time is spent on analysing potential acquisitions and finding opportunities to optimise our business.
I enjoy my role as I share the same goal as most people in the business - making Discovery the leader in the caravan park industry. I see my role as an important part of the business as I help to ensure we make the right investment decisions along our journey of growth.
The day-to-day challenges attracted me to the role at Discovery. Throughout my 6 years of service, none of the years were the same. The Senior Leaders of the company are very respectful and have provided me with opportunities for career development.
I have had some wonderful opportunities at Discovery including involvement in the development of Qlikview, Discovery's business intelligence tool and many exciting acquisitions. I have also been given the opportunity to work with a variety of people including our Board of Directors, bankers and also external consultants.
